There are five candidates for mayor of Cremona who voted on Saturday. The first was Alessandro Portesani, candidate of the centre-right, who went to the polls shortly after the opening of the polls. Immediately after him, it was the turn of Angelo Frigoli, of Alternativa Comunista. They both voted at Stradivari elementary school.
Subsequently, Andrea Virgilio, mayoral candidate for the centre-left, also went to vote at the Monteverdi school polling station at around 6pm.
After him, around 7pm, Maria Vittoria Ceraso, an independent candidate, also expressed her right to vote, at the polling station of the Realdo Colombo school.
The last candidate of the day to go to the polls, around 7.30pm, was Ferruccio Giovetti, who also showed up with his own list at the polling station in via Palestro.
The electoral weekend also continues on Sunday: it will be possible to vote from 7am to 11pm. After that, the counting operations will begin, first for the European elections, and then for the administrative ones. lb
