L’Under-20 of the Cagliari Beach Soccer goes out defeated 1-6 in the match against Catania, on the eve of the Super Cup. The rossoblù will return to the field tomorrow, to close the first stage of their summer, at 6pm in the match that awards the first trophy of the season against Farmaè Viareggio who in 2023 won both the championship and the Italian Cup, the latter in the final right on the Sardinian training.
The match. Nothing to do for Cagliari in this afternoon’s match against Catania, leaders with 10 points and already certain with this success of accessing the Final Four as first place in Group A. In the 6th minute Teodoro unlocks the scoring for the Sicilians, but two minutes later Tommaso Piro scored his first goal in this championship (and with Cagliari Beach Soccer, who is in his first year at the club) with a two-step touch from a corner kicked from the right.
In the second half, Catania regained the lead in the 4th minute with D’Amore, anticipating the development of a throw-in. Teodoro then scores a hat trick for his personal brace in the 6th minute with a dribble and a great finish under the crossbar. One step away from the end of the half, Rius hits the crossbar, coming close to making it 2-3. In the last half Catania spreads and scores again with D’Amore (2′), followed by Giuffrida (4′) and Dos Santos (8′).
