Rome, 8 June 2024 – The time has come to vote for the European elections but the ideas on who to vote for are still not clear? National newspaper in collaboration with the Center Robert Schumanan interdisciplinary department of the European University Institute (IUE) of Florence, offers its readers a compass to orient themselves: ‘Political navigator’ (click here to start the test). This is the new version of the electoral consultancy App EU&Ilaunched by the IUE and developed with the Department of Political Sciences ofUniversity of Pisaof which professors Eugenio Pizzimenti and Enrico Calossi are responsible.

Operation is clear and simple. Users are asked to rate the statements using a scale with five scores (from ‘completely agree’ to ‘completely disagree’). Once users have rated all the statements, the algorithm indicates how close the programmatic profiles of political parties are to the preferences expressed by the user.
This tool is meant for help citizen voters find the party that best suits their political preferences. Among the features of the new EU&I app, the possibility of orienting yourself well beyond the borders of your own country. In fact, you can select any of the 27 Member States and verify its electoral positioning also abroad, compared to the large European political families. Happy testing!
