(ANSA) – TRIESTE, JUNE 08 – A new case of Dengue fever has been confirmed in Trieste by the Prevention Department of the Giuliano Isontina University Health Authority. The Municipality made this known by announcing the start of new disinfestation operations in the city. In detail, the preventive measures will concern the proximal area of ​​vicolo della Salvia and via Salvi, for a radius of 200 metres. Compatibly with weather conditions, disinfestation will begin at 4 am on Monday 10 June. “To encourage and implement all the necessary and foreseen preventive measures aimed at radical disinfestation”, explains the Municipality, a specific ordinance was issued, signed by the mayor Roberto Dipiazza. Among the provisions, there is also “the establishment of a transit ban for all vehicles on the road sections” affected by the operations, “in order to guarantee the safe execution of the processing”. The ban will be valid approximately from 4 to 6 on 10 June and will concern in particular via Isola d’Istria, via Lussinpiccolo, via Pisino, via Orsera, via Capodistria, via Norma Cossetto, via Pirano, via Umago, via Cittanova d’Istria, via Baiamonti, via di Silvula, vicolo della Salvia, via Ercolano Salvi, via Pinguente, via del Roncheto, via Paolo Giacometti, via Claudio Pulcro. This is the third disinfestation operation launched by the Municipality since the end of May, after the discovery of other cases of Dengue fever in the city. (HANDLE).
