Scheduled for Saturday 15 June in Sangineto is “Laduesse”, a non-competitive cycling event with free participation organized by “Asd Serragiumenta”. The meeting is set at around 8.30 am at the Castello del Principe (Lido area). The caravan will cross the municipalities of Sangineto, Belvedere Marittimo, Sant’Agata d’Esaro, San Sosti, San Donato di Ninea, Acquaformosa, Lungro, Firmo and Altomonte. Arrival is expected between 4pm and 6pm in Serragiumenta, a sumptuous structure of great historical and artistic value surrounded by greenery and managed with passion and competence by the owners Paolo Canonaco and Rita Bilotti. The entire route runs for approximately 77 kilometres, reaching almost 100 with the optional detours indicated along the route. In addition to promoting aggregation, the sporting event has other objectives such as the promotion of healthy lifestyles and outdoor activities with beneficial effects for health. Thanks to the “slow” characteristics of the cycle tourism movement, the event aims to enhance the landscape, food and wine and tourist excellence of the areas crossed, urge respect for the environment and nature with responsible behavior and highlight the vocation of the Cosenza area for tourism experiential. There will be stops designed to draw the participants’ attention to places of interest such as monuments, squares, historic centres, places of worship and natural beauty. Once in Serragiumenta the participants will have to make their own return journey. The organization guarantees a paid service with special transfers.
