TREVISO – Public establishments, the contract has been renewed for around 22 thousand employees and more than 5 thousand activities in the catering world. The signature came to an end long and detailed negotiationthe national contract for public collective commercial catering establishments had expired on 31 December 2021 and had seen, in recent years, various mobilizations and confrontations.

New contract, salaries increase

The new contract came into force on the first last June and is valid until December 31, 2027defines a contractual increase when fully operational of 200 euros at the 4th level, to be reparameterized for the others. The first tranche of the salary increase of 50 euros will be paid with the salary for the month of June 2024; another 4 tranches of 40, 40, 30 and 40 euros will follow. An increase of 3 euros is expected of the contribution for the EST Fund supplementary healthcare to be paid by companies starting from 1 January 2027.

New professionals

The existing system has been revised regarding the classification of personnel, updating professional figures with respect to the evolution of the various sectors (they were figures stuck in the patterns of the 90s), including the one that had the most critical issues concerning canteen workers. The real news concerns the interventions on gender politicsmeasures to combat harassment and violence in the workplace have been included for the first time in the legislative framework, providing for training and information, among which one hour of paid assembly dedicated and additional.

Leave for women victims of violence

Then expected an additional 90 days of 100% paid leave for women victims of gender violence, in addition to the ninety foreseen by the Law, the possibility of being transferred to other work locations and of being excluded from difficult shifts has been defined. The articles referring to the articles have been revisited and updated to comply with the law mandatory and optional maternity and paternity leave, improving the existing provisions, also with reference to equal opportunities and gender equality. For workers part time a joint review aimed at consolidating the additional work carried out on an ongoing basis was confirmed.
