The Rimini of basketball mourns one of its favorite sons. Massimo Morri passed away at just 52 years old, due to a short illness that left him with no escape. Morri was a crystalline talent of the historic 1972 year, the one that won championships at youth level together with Fontana, Ruggeri, Semprini and Ferroni and 1971 Myers. A brood of talents that no basketball fan from Rimini will ever forget. After his playing career ended, Morri remained in the environment as a youth sector coach.

Morri was also a great music fan and the Nebraska association remembered him like this: “While we were ready to announce some news, this devastating news arrived which left us astonished and heartbroken. Our brotherly friend Max Morri left this earth at just 52 years old. Max has been a fundamental pillar of the Glory days of recent years. A discreet but pulsating presence, she captured some indelible and unforgettable moments with his camera. A fixed presence, positive, talented but always human and humble. The September 25th edition will be dedicated to him, we will find the ways and times to tell him thank you once again for everything he has done for us. We’ll see you in dreams, just like Bruce sang at the end of last year’s concert and that we lived together.”
