At the MioDottore Awards 2024 they saw Puglia gain a prestigious second place, with six doctors awarded between the provinces of Bari and Brindisi. This recognition underlines the medical excellence of the region and the dedication of Apulian professionals in the healthcare field.
The ceremony took place in the evocative setting of the Centrale Montemartini in Rome, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the event, the 43 most appreciated Italian doctors on MioDottore were awarded, selected for their professionalism and passion.
Puglia, together with Sicily, obtained second place with six awarded doctors. Among the Apulian winners the Dr. Marcello Albanesi, allergist from Bari, and Dr. Salvatore Valentino, andrologist and urologist from Brindisi. The geographical distribution of the awards highlights a significant recognition of medical expertise in the regions of Southern Italy, with 49% of winners coming from this area.

The Dr. Marco Papalino, psychiatrist from Bari, has obtained recognition for his commitment to improving the mental health of his patients through innovative therapies and an empathetic approach. Finally, the Dr. Sante Schiraldi, rheumatologist from Molfettawas awarded for his experience and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases.
