FASANO – His lifeless body was found this morning, Friday 7 June 2024, in the countryside of Fasano. The tragic death of the entrepreneur Giacomo Rosato has left many dismayed and saddened, not just family and friends. The man was 51 years old, he was involved in the Asi Consortium, in politics, but also in culture and sport. He leaves behind his wife and three children, as well as his two parents and his sister Manuela, who is also active in politics.
The mayor of Fasano, Francesco Zaccaria, remembered Giacomo Rosato with a post on Facebook: “I rewind the tape of memories and in every frame I find his smiling face, on sports days, in friendly relationships, in his commitment to the ASI – that we had wanted as a representative of our community -, always his radiant face, a mirror of a generous and noble soul, which each of us was lucky enough to know and appreciate. It is precisely in these moments that we realize how much the things we do on a daily basis We believe that they are really nothing compared to the inestimable value of life that are important and a priority. May I extend my heartfelt embrace to all his family, his friends and the many who loved him.”
Her friend Laura De Mola, as a sign of respect and sorrow, announced that “the closing rally scheduled for this evening in Piazza Ciaia, in Fasano, is considered cancelled. The concert by singer-songwriter Fausto Leali, scheduled to conclude the rally , is postponed to a later date. Our deepest condolences go to Giacomo’s family, friends, all his collaborators and those who loved him during his lifetime.” A former candidate for mayor, on the opposite front, Rosato is remembered by De Mola as a colleague with whom one could talk amiably, despite having different positions. And he is remembered above all as a friend, who talked about culture or his beloved marathons around the world. “Fasano loses not only a brilliant entrepreneur, but above all a man of great courtesy, incapable of refusing when asked for help”, concludes Laura De Mola.
