Student Festival, Classical High School wins

The curtain has closed on the twenty-fifth edition of the Student Festival, a triumph from every point of view. In the final evening at the NUOVO of the park

Youth who for the second consecutive year returned to be the “home” for the final, in front of the public on special occasions, the Liceo Classico of Cuneo has

raised the Student Festival Trophy to the sky, like just two years ago. A real roar greeted the announcement made on stage by Luisella Mellino, president of the La Beda Association which has been organizing this talent much loved by students for five decades with the patronage of the Municipality of Cuneo and the Piedmont Regional Council, the support of Crc Foundation, Crt Foundation, BCC Banca di Caraglio and Mc Donald’s Cuneo.

That the Student festival is in the hearts of young people is demonstrated by the tears of joy, the enthusiasm and the screams of those who have won a place on the podium or even just

a mention, because each recognition rewarded the work carried out with such passion during an entire school year. Despite the fact that we are living

an increasingly “smart” era, young people demonstrate that they are hungry for everything that is still traditional art such as theatre, dance and music. What makes

this festival is great about true sociality, made up of real relationships, friendships, sharing, inclusion and why not, that healthy stage anxiety that every

year shines through from the boys and girls, excellently supported by their teachers.

The Liceo Artistico Musicale and the Hotel Institute rose to the second and third step of the podium in the general ranking. The Theater section which took place for the first two evenings at the “Don Bosco” in Cuneo resulted in the triumph of the Hotel Institute, second for the Liceo Classico and third for the Itis. For Dance, it was the Liceo Artistico that climbed to the top step of the podium, with Grandis and Liceo de Amicis second and third. For the Music section, first place for the Liceo Artistico e Musicale, followed by Liceo De Amicis and Liceo Classico.

Eight students who distinguished themselves in their respective disciplines won the “Golden Trumpeter” award: Danny Bergesio (Artistic High School) and Anna Giordano

(Liceo De Amicis) for Dance, Susanna Palmucci (Liceo Classico) and Andrea Bella (Hotel Institute) for Theatre; Serena Bianco (De Amicis High School), Gabriele

Vallauri (Liceo Artistico e Musicale), Esther Stradnyk (Liceo de Amicis) and Gioele Cavallo (Itc Bonelli) for Music.

The Empathy Award, dedicated to the memory of the late Guido Bonino, was awarded to Giuseppe Casaretti of the Hotel Institute.

Special mentions from the Festival Jury were made for the Theater section to: Noa Giurisato (Itis), Antonio Viara (Liceo Classico), Daniele Torchio (Itis), Marco

Dotta (Grandis), Ervon Ndou (Grandis), Leslie Giorgis (Hotel), Mattia Benozzi (Scientific), Giulio Gerbaldo (Scientific); for the Music section: Giuseppe

Casaretti (Hotel), Gioele Rizzo (Grandis), Antea Bongiovanni (Artistic Musical), Alice Bruno (Bonelli), Alice Calia, Aida della Torre, Aurora Giuffrè, Florence Moldero, Emma Siciliano (Liceo Artistico Musicale), Gabriele Rivetti (Classical) , Noa Giurisato (Itis), Francesca Satta (Classico), Cristian Montella (Grandis), Monica Prencipe (Grandis); for the Dance section: Daniela Ferrero (Artistic), Francesco Penda (Liceo De Amicis), Matilde Casella (Liceo de Amicis), Alice Farigu (Liceo De Amicis) and Asia Galaverna (Hotel)

Great satisfaction from the artistic director of the Festival Luisella Mellino: “It was a triumphal edition in every respect. Maybe because the young people demonstrate that they care about this event by committing themselves all year round to bring the fruit of their commitment to the stage. Extraordinary the participation of the public, both at the theater and at the final evening, who demonstrated their appreciation for a formula that has been working for 25 years. Finally, a sincere thanks to all those who support this event.”
