From today, Friday 7 June, the definitive admission rankings to the Municipality of Piacenza are published, also highlighted on the home page nursery schools municipal and affiliated institutions, as well as the Edugate service, for the 2024-2025 educational year.

“We received 882 applications (of which 122 for Edugate), a total of around thirty more than last year – underlines councilor Nicoletta Corvi – and the municipal offices, which I thank, have worked to guarantee the availability of the rankings well in advance of to past years: both in 2023 and 2022 they were released on July 21st, in 2021 on June 26th. This commitment also goes in the direction of supporting families in reconciling time, even more so where it is necessary for parents to seek an alternative solution”.

622 requests in the ranking

Of the total requests received, net of exclusions due to lack of essential requirements, appeals presented in the relevant period and double requests received, 622 are definitively in the ranking for nursery schools, of which 31 are from non-resident families who, due to regulation, they will only be able to take over for remaining places, once access to the service for residents has been exhausted. All 94 available places have been assigned (two more than in 2023-2024) for infants in the 0-12 month range, with 55 children on the waiting list; also for adults, from 24 to 36 months, there are 77 places available, with a waiting list of 112 children.

children from 12 to 24 months

As regards the little ones, from 12 to 24 months, 141 places out of the 147 available have currently been allocated: the remaining six, two in Vallera and four for Casa Turchina – left free considering the three preferences that each family can indicate – will be allocated subsequently contacting the families of the 106 children currently on the waiting list for this age group. For the part-time nursery in the morning hours, all 5 requests were accepted, without waiting lists, while the part-time afternoon nursery currently sees one place assigned out of six available, with the possibility of subsequent inclusion – among those on the list waiting period – for the five positions currently vacant.

Educate service

For the Edugate Service, the applications in the final ranking are 98, of which only one from a group not resident in Piacenza. 6 places assigned for the nursery section to those born in 2023 (42 requests on the waiting list) and 1 place among those born in 2022 (24 on the waiting list). For the Childhood section, one place allocated among those born in 2021 (waiting list of 16 children), 2 places among those born in 2020 (3 waiting) and no availability for those born in 2019 (two children remain waiting) .

“Edugate – underlines councilor Corvi – always remains a highly requested service also for the opportunity to learn the English language, but in general there is an increase in requests for an educational provision of fundamental importance such as the integrated nursery system on our territory. It is also necessary to consider the fluidity of the waiting lists: to date, we are at 360, which could become 349 with the assignment of the 11 places still available among the six currently unfilled for the toddler age group and the five vacant ones for the part-time afternoon. As always happens, the waiting lists for the nursery schools are characterized by a certain mobility, which also allows for new insertions during the educational year”.
