“Bernadette de Lourdes” will be staged at Alfieri Theater in Turin from 28 to 30 March 2025. The musical show, already a great success in France with over 400,000 spectators, tells the incredible story of Bernadette Soubirous, a 14-year-old girl who, despite her discretion, frailty and illiteracy, is not afraid to challenge the world to assert her ideas.
Written along the lines of the official reports drawn up during the harsh interrogations of the young Bernadette, the show will take you into a nineteenth-century Lourdes, with a truthful historical reconstruction both in terms of scenography and costumes. Prepare to immerse yourself in Bernadette’s struggle to defend the truth from skeptical adults and her tormented family.
Directed by the talented Serge Denoncourt, “Bernadette de Lourdes” boasts scenography by Stéphane Roy, music by Grégoire and lyrics by Lionel Florence and Patrice Guirao. The arrangements are handled by Scott Price, while the musical direction is entrusted to the legendary Céline Dion.
