The Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria has approved a budget change with which it allocates the total sum of 140 thousand euros for carrying out of the 2024 edition of the event dedicated to Varies Of Palms.
The resolution constitutes an important investment on the part of Alvaro Palace for the promotion of an event that is UNESCO heritage and which already last year achieved enormous success in terms of attendance and tourist attractiveness, not only for the town on the plain but for the entire metropolitan area.
The intention of the is therefore confirmed Metrocity to invest in a key sector in socio-economic terms such as that of the creation of events capable of enhancing territorial peculiarities, proposing them in a national and international context capable of guaranteeing greater tourist attractiveness and a significant economic and employment impact.
In fact, after the success of 2023, the Varia of Palmi will return again this year, constituting one of the most significant hubs of tourist programming throughout the metropolitan area.
In the same budget change resolution, the Palazzo Alvaro Institution allocated a substantial investment 50 thousand euros for the support of another demonstration very successful for the metropolitan area created in collaboration with the Confederation of Italian Pastry Chefsofficially declaring the organization’s interest in collaborating on a stable basis for the organization of the now traditional international ice cream festival “Scirubetta“, scheduled for next September to coincide with the Marian holidays of Reggio Calabria.
Also in this case it is an event that has already attracted extraordinary public success in previous editions, thanks to the activity promoted by the master ice cream makers of the Metropolitan City whose extraordinary qualities have established themselves this year within the Sigep 2024, the most great world dessert fair.
The goal of Scirubettawith the support of Metrocityis therefore to make it become Reggio Calabria the world capital of ice-creamattracting the greatest national and international exponents of the confectionery art, and exporting the Reggio brand well outside the metropolitan borders.
