BADIA POLESINE (Rovigo) – Last 3 June, in a short city council meeting introduced by the mayor’s communications, some budget changes were approved. The first of the communications concerned the pupils of the Ghirardini middle schools who won the prestigious “An idea for the future” competition concerning the redevelopment of the “O. Verzaro”. “The project could be financed by the Cariparo Foundation – he precised Giovanni Rossi -, by the S. Paolo Institute of Turin or by ANCE for the implementation of the works”. This was followed by the commemoration, read in the hall by the councilor Sara Quaglia, of Matteotti’s last speech (30 May 1924), since the anti-fascist martyr sat, albeit briefly, from 11 October 1920 to 1921, on the benches of the municipal council of Badia.
Some were given the green light by the city council useful variations to budget for the purchase of the “plastic-eating” eco-compactor for 29,900 euros (sum recognized by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security), the income of 2,341 euros (regional contribution for the control of nutria), the regional contribution of 51,405 euros (out of 74,500) for the removal of architectural barriers in the abbey of Vangadizza at the Crab. Finally, the implementation of contributions for the restructuring of the buildingsthe gym changing rooms at middle schools; 30,000 euros from the Region, 40,000 from the Cariparo Foundation while the Municipality participates with 10,000 euros.
Other minor expenses, requested by the offices, were: 10,000 euros for the purchase of furnishings, 22,000 for IT equipment and programs, 24,500 for the adjustment of the amount of works relating to the cycle-pedestrian path in the Munari right Adige park which must be entrusted by November 2024, and an expense of 5,214 euros for the recognition to Ecoambiente for the cleaning of the market area (which will be recovered with the payment of the single fee by the traders). The interest rate on cash advances made in 2023 (advances necessary for expenses relating to the Pnrr tenders) amounts to 45,000 euros. Finally, 2,500 euros for civil protection services provided by the European Association of Police Services.
On the other hand, 45,000 euros were saved on staff, as part of turnover.
In the end, the resolution was approved which identifies the collegial bodies “deemed indispensable” that assist the work of the mayor and the council. They are: the Conference of Group Leaders, the General Affairs and Personal Services Commission, the Urban Planning-Public Works Commission, the Landscape Commission, the Hamlets Council, the Twinning Committee, the Library Committee, the Nursery Management Committee and the Children’s Forum. young.
