From Alghero to Tuscany to raid houses: trapped by the large-displacement Mercedes

Two nomads belonging to the Alghero community were arrested by the Arezzo traffic police after a chase along the north lane of the Autosole. With them a third person, also a nomad, from the community of Rome.

They must jointly respond, for various reasons, to the crimes of receiving stolen goods, resisting a public official, aggravated injuries and possession of keys and tools suitable for burglary.

The investigations against them began in the Montevarchi police station, following numerous episodes of theft, which occurred in commercial establishments in the Valdarno area during the night hours and characterized by the same modus operandi.

The investigators then managed to identify the car used by the criminals who always acted with their faces covered, i.e. a large-engined Mercedes in which the three drove away after having scored one or more hits.

However, the police officers and the Flying Squad managed to identify the exit and entry toll booths used by the car, which was finally intercepted.

After a chase on the motorway and a series of rammings, the three were chased on foot by the police, who eventually stopped them.

Inside the car, subjected to seizure, countless tools and tools suitable for burglary were found and seized, probably used during the previous nights of raids in Tuscan territory and in the Valdarno area in particular.

For the three, after validation, precautionary custody began.
