The final phase of the video competition “Piacentina Day of the Cineclub”, with the awards ceremony, took place at the CAI headquarters in Piacenza. The contest, promoted by the Cineclub Piacenza Giulio Cattivilli in collaboration with the Italian Federation of Cineclubs (Fedic) and now in its fourth edition, includes two sections of the competition.

The first, reserved for schools of all levels in the city and province, had as its theme “Nature: source of life, art and culture”. The second, with a free theme, was aimed at members of the Cineclub Piacenza and Fedic members. The best video in the “Schools” section is the one created by the Petrarca Middle School of Pontenure and “prophetically” entitled “The prize”.

The film tells the adventure of 5 groups of boys and girls from the Petrarca school struggling with a total immersion in Nature, accompanied by urgent and restful music at the same time according to an effective correspondence between images, environmental and emotional conditions, “long breathtaking routes dedicated to adventure and discovery”. Also in the Schools section, the jury considered worthy of mention the videos “La Vernasca” from the Santa Franca da Vitalta secondary school in Vernasca, then “Morfasso” from the Morfasso primary school and “We are nature” from the Castelsangiovanni middle school . The Cineclub president’s award went to the direction of “Amico ulivo” of the Vernasca primary school. Numerous teachers were present alongside the students.

Representing the Istituto Comprensorio di Lugagnano, Vernasca and Morfasso were Monica Boiardi, Alessandra Bussandri, Nadia Pompini, Laura Caffarini, Gianmaria Forni, Vittoria Solari, Anna Rita Frocione. For the Castelsangiovanni middle school Gianfranco Dazzi, Silvia Colombo, Marco Vino and for the Pontenure middle school Luigi Del Matti and Leonardo Mucaria. The event was hosted by Marilena Massarini and Luciano Narducci.

The coordinator of the competition is the professor Fausto Frontini: “Solid pedagogical tools are needed to understand the disorientation and loneliness of adolescents who are often unaware of their imaginative and creative richness. Young people must be made to fall in love, they must be accompanied to discover themselves. Teaching that uses the cinematographic tool is very important.”

And here is the grid of the projects awarded in the Fedic and Cineclub section. The best video was “Music in the Blood” by Alessandro Zaffanella. The Fedic and Cineclub president’s award to “The voice of water” by Danio Belloni. The awards ceremony began with the screening of the film “L’uomo del cinema” by Valter Sirosi. Also present in the CAI room were Lorenzo Caravello, president of Fedic, and Laura Biggi, national school manager for Fedic, the city councilor Salvatore Scafuto, as well as the jurors of the schools section Angelo Manfredini, Marco Stucchi, Franca Franchi and Alberto Dosi, and those of the section Fedic Mario Magnelli and Paolo Ascagni.
