The “Fras” case explodes. Social issues agitate three municipalities: “It’s a political pantomime”

“Consternation and regret”. The social councilors of Camaiore, Massarosa and Seravezza condemn what happened yesterday morning in Viareggio: the three administrators (Anna Graziani, Alberta Puccetti and Stefano Pellegrini) showed up at the Viareggio social office to receive updates and information on projects, funds and staff of the Versilia area. The appointment was cancelled, the councilors say, “through an informal communication and with very little notice”. The reply coming from Viareggio is dry. “The appointment had not been scheduled – points out the councilor for welfare Sara Grilli –. Indeed, given the simultaneous absence of 4 out of 7 administrators, the date of 12 June had been agreed with everyone. So this is not understandable Or rather, we are witnessing a behavior implemented by three councilors from neighboring municipalities which has nothing institutional but seems artfully mounted to spark a futile controversy on the eve of the elections”.

For their part, the three administrators insist: “For months we have been chasing the lead municipality, that is Viareggio, to be able to discuss and share the policies that concern all the citizens of the district, but every time a problem arises and it is postponed. If Via nothing must prevent other Municipalities from receiving information from the municipal offices that manage, on behalf of the entire Versilia, the projects, the personnel and above all the funds dedicated to social and health care in the districts”. At this point Grilli makes it known that “Viareggio intends to interrupt its role as leader regarding the planning of resources relating to Fras”. “A role that no other organization has wanted to take on – concludes Grilli – both due to the expenditure of energy required and due to lack of personnel”.
