Is it true that the worst mom is always better than the best dad? Because, who says?

We will talk about it on Saturday 8 June at the Chiostro Caffè literaryo in Piazzetta San Domenico, in Lamezia Terme (CZ), from 5.30 pm during the presentation of Emilio Grimaldi’s latest book entitled “Fathers and Godfathers”.

And then: is it true that a father, simply because his family is associated with the ‘Ndrangheta, cannot be a good parent?

Emilio Grimaldi declares: “in our society, shaped by information aimed at highlighting only scandals and murders, those invisible experiences in which separated fathers are constipated are difficult to come to light. Many times silent victims of an institutional apparatus that suffers from the prejudices that affect state buildings and bodies. The same State which, on behalf of the Constitutional Charter, instead declaims and imparts the equality of all citizens ‘Without distinctions of sex, race, language’ and culture and at the same time commits both itself and the community it represents to the fulfillment of rights for every person.”

Supporting the author will be Don Giacomo Panizza, founder of the Progetto Sud Community; Giuseppe Filice, lawyer and editor of the preface, and Marco Marchese, the publisher who strongly wanted this text to see the light.

The meeting will be moderated by Rita Gura, writer and editor of Officine Editoriali da Cleto. Finally, Mario Migliarese, Calabrian singer-songwriter, and the appreciated guitarist and singer-songwriter Michele Stanizzi, will cheer up those present with some musical interludes.

The Presidency of the Free Italian Writers’ Union, Calabria section, through Luigi Stanizzi, applauds the initiative, also recalling the previous appreciation of the same author, Emilio Grimaldi, with “A rose for Teresina”, a work presented at Sersale with the cultural contribution among the others by Luigi Stanizzi.

Again thanks to the Officine Editoriali da Cleto di Marco Marchese who, moreover, in recent days, in a new editorial series, has already published “Sogni Franti” by the poet Serafino Schipani (Seraschi), whose books are always sold out in within two weeks of release.
