Beach Soccer | First victory for Cagliari U20: beaten Città degli Eventi

It’s a Cagliari who speaks Spanish that of captain R. Boi and companions who today, on the second day of Under20 championship, wins the first victory of the season. The rossoblù beat their peers 4-2 City of Events thanks to the braces of the two Iberian players Rius and Suarez. New match scheduled for tomorrow at 4.30pm against Ecosystem Lamezia Soccer. The match will be broadcast live on the official NLD channel.

STUDY PHASE IN THE FIRST FRACTION
An uninspiring first half was staged at the Viareggio beach arena between Cagliari Beach Soccer and Città degli Eventi. A lot of study on the part of the two teams who occasionally try some attacks without actually getting hurt. In the 4th minute Cirasuolo shoots towards Rius’ goal, the Spaniard saves. Two minutes later Suarez aims towards the opponent’s target with a free kick from midfield, Orlandi blocks. In the 9th minute, Suarez again takes charge of a free kick earned by the rossoblù due to an opponent’s handball, the ball ends up high. At 10′ Orlandi denied the shot to Rius in two halves who, not happy with the missed goal, tried again at the end of regulation time, but the ball went out for a corner. During the two minutes of injury time Cadeddu takes a free kick, Orlandi moves away. The ball ends up at the feet of Melis who shoots, but the opponent’s number one blocks his goal once again.

CAGLIARI WITH THE ADVANTAGE
If the first half of the match was characterized by few emotions, in the second the music changed. In the 3rd minute, directly from his own frontcourt, with his usual trademark, Rius shoots tensely and breaks the deadlock in favor of the Sardinians. A minute later the Spanish goalkeeper again becomes the protagonist with a good save on Cirasuolo. In the 5th minute the very young N. Boi tries the conclusion with his right foot to cross, Orlandi averts the danger. Three minutes later Suarez again, this time with a bicycle kick, but it is not very precise. At 10′ Piccioni tries a free kick, Orlandi blocks. A turn of the clock later Monaco tries to scare Cagliari, the ball ends up on the outside of the net. The referees grant three minutes of added time. In the 13th minute, R. Boi’s overhead kick is high. A handful of seconds later Cirasuolo takes advantage of a defensive slip by the Sardinians and equalizes the score. The last ring comes just before the end of extra time with Suarez who, with his left foot, puts the Cagliaritans back in the lead.

ROSSOBLÙ PARTY
The last half of the match opened immediately with Suarez’s great goal directly from kick-off. In the 3rd minute Monaco tries an overhead kick, the ball goes wide. A minute later Monaco again, this time from a free kick, shoots tensely, Rius touches it but the ball still lands behind the rossoblù goalkeeper. In the 5th minute Melis hits the crossbar. Just a minute and Rius, from his goal, extends the distance again and scores the fourth Sardinian goal. At the final whistle it is Manuel Perra’s boys who celebrate.

THE WORDS OF CAPTAIN BOI
At the end of the match, captain R. Boi commented on the performance just concluded to the official microphones of LND beach soccer: «It wasn’t an easy match, but scoring three points today was fundamental to moving the table and starting to gain confidence.
