TREVISO – He had been traveling without a license driving a car that had been impounded for about a year. In recent days, during a control service on the Terraglio, the agents of the Road Safety Operational Unit of the local police of Treviso stopped the driver of a car who, having spotted the officers, had braked sharply and then taken a side road. This behavior attracted the attention of the Command operators who then reached the vehicle a few hundred meters from the “escape” point.
At that moment, the forty-year-old Nigerian national could do nothing but undergo the usual checks. As a result of the investigations, the subject was not only without a license but was driving a vehicle which had been seized.
Subsequent investigations revealed an even more complex situation: the man had already been sanctioned by the local police of Treviso at the end of 2022 for driving without a license and, the following year he was reported by the Varese Traffic Police for having once again been spotted driving a caror, without ever having obtained any driving permit. At that juncture the subject had also shown a fake Nigerian driving licence. In fact, for that violation, his Ford Focus had been seized but, despite the measures applied, it was still circulating in the municipal area.
The man was reported by the local police for repeatedly driving without a license as well as sanctioned for using a seized vehicle without a technical inspection which, at the end of the checks, was permanently removed from its availability.
