PRESS RELEASE – GENOA. Green light from the Regional Council for the program for the sale of public residential housing and the related investment program for the related revenues, presented by Art Savona. An expected operation, which will allow us to have approx 6.7 millions of euros to be invested in important maintenance and recovery works of vacant housing while responding, at the same time, to the requests of various assignees wishing to acquire the apartment where they have been living for some time. To date, over 40 expressions of interest have already arrived.

An overall measure of great impact that will allow Art Savona to have financial resources to invest primarily in maintenance, improvement and recovery of vacant housing – he declares Marco Scajola regional councilor for housing and construction policies – A series of housing units will be sold to people who have occupied them for years and are eager to acquire them. Furthermore, accommodation will be sold which is difficult to manage or which causes excessive maintenance costs for the organisation. With the resources obtained, a series of important maintenance and recovery works will be carried out on vacant housing which will allow us to increase and improve the building stock with cutting-edge housing, giving concrete answers to families in difficulty”.

The regional criteria identify 10% of the real estate assets as the maximum threshold for transferable housing. Art Savona estimates a sale of approximately 101 homes on the free market, equal to 4% of the total currently made up of 2476 apartments, and of 16 non-residential units for a total expected income, as indicated above, of 6.7 million euros.

“We have put down on paper an important plan that has been missing since 2016 – explains the sole director of Arte Savona, Alessandro Revello -. I want to thank the regional councilor and his offices for the great collaboration and effectiveness demonstrated in bringing this act to completion.
