CREMONA – The Vida middle school in Cremona hosted the awards ceremony for the provincial winners of the national technical drawing championship. The event, organized for the first time in the province of Cremona by the IC Cremona Tre, but now consolidated at a national level, saw the participation of a selection of students from the first classes of the lower secondary schools of Cremona (Vida middle school, promoter of the initiative, and Anne Frank), Vdiscovered, Ostiano, Castelverde and Pizzighettone.

The young talents challenged each other in a test of great complexity and precision, demonstrating high-level technical ability. All 31 finalists were awarded with a personalized t-shirt, while the winners were given medals, certificates of merit, personalized gadgets and gift vouchersobtained thanks to the support of the Order of Architects, Engineers and the College of Surveyors of the province of Cremona, represented by the engineer Giovanni Melati and architects Marta Visone And Giuseppe Cabini who believed in this project right from the start.

“We are really proud of these guys – he declared the head teacher Laura Rossi – their success is the result of commitment and dedication. This event is an important opportunity to enhance technical drawing, a fundamental discipline in school and professional training.”

The award ceremony was also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of technical drawing as a tool for developing students’ critical thinking, problem solving skills and manual skills.

The teacher Elisa Roggerotechnology teacher at the Vida middle school in Cremona (IC Cremona Tre) and provincial representative of the Championship, underlined how “this discipline not only allows you to acquire specific technical skills, but also to develop transversal skills that are highly sought after in the world of work” .

The event concluded with the performance of the Vida middle school choir, accompanied by the musical address orchestra, who sang the song ‘Simply the Best’ to celebrate the success of the winners.

The winners of the championship:

  • First place: TOUCH JACOPOANNA FRANK middle school – CREMONA

  • Runner up: KAUR MANJOT, U. FOSCOLO – OSTIANO middle school

  • Third place: TUSCAN RAMOS CAMILA, VIDA middle school – CREMONA

The national technical drawing championship, born nine years ago from the professor’s idea Fabio Macchia, had great success in its first edition in the province of Cremona. The organizers of IC Cremona Tre, already looking forward to the second edition, have announced their intention to extend the invitation to all lower secondary schools in the area for next year, with the aim of transforming this event into a fixed for participating institutions.
