Traditions, festivals and food and wine in the summer of Arzachena – Report Sardinia 24

From June to October Arzachena and its villages of Cannigione and Baja Sardinia will host a full calendar of events.

The billboard will see the historic center of the Gallura town play the role of hub for the recreational activities of the entire coastal area.

In fact, the old neighborhood will be the backdrop to most of the events, both those dedicated to food and wine traditions and those dedicated to sports or folklore and commerce.

The agenda of sporting events includes talk shows with Alessandro Alciato on 3 July and 29 July, at 9.30pm, as part of the Lo Sport Si Telli event. For the third year the Italia Polo Challenge Porto Cervo will start from the historic center of Arzachena, with the teams’ procession on horseback and a party in Piazza Risorgimento on 17 July, at 7pm. The Mediterranean Beach Kata will then take place in Cannigione , an international karate event on 19 and 20 September, and the Terra Sarda Rally from 2 to 4 October.

The entertainment events are not to be missed: Mogol talks about Mogol on 16 June at 9pm, in Piazza Risorgimento, the Feast of San Giovanni Battista in Cannigione from 21 to 24 June and the fixed appointment with the Ferragosto fireworks from 14 to 15 August in Baja Sardinia and Cannigione.

The White Nights event also returns to Cannigione, while among the new features there is MoMe, the market exhibition of antiques, high craftsmanship, technology and food and wine, every Thursday evening in the historic center of Arzacheno.

The dishes from the culinary tradition of Gallura find space in the two festivals, that of Suppa Cuata on 13 July and that of Li Chjusoni on 1 August. Then again literary reviews, appointments with the Time in Jazz concerts and the Listening Islands that Talk festival.
