Our city has in fact been selected as a stage of theInternational Beach Soccer (IBST), the prestigious international beach soccer circuit which, among other locations, will also touch Margherita di Savoia on 20 and 21 July.
The IBST is recognized throughout the world as one of the main events regarding this sporting discipline, capable of attracting thousands of spectators and enthusiasts to each stage.
Matteo Conversanothe city councilor responsible for organizing the event, commented as follows: “This year too we are preparing to organize a major international sporting event. An entire beach soccer field in Piazza Duomo: all this surrounded by a fantastic setting such as our square and everything that will be built around it. I am proud and I can’t see the ‘Now”.
The Mayor Francesco Bonito he added: “It was enough for Maurizio Iorio to tell us that Sky had literally fallen in love with the heart of our city, with our Piazza Duomo, to respond positively to their proposal. A great adventure that promises entertainment and also a pinch of madness: making Cerignola a beach of champions will be a unique event!“
