APS CHANGES 42 THOUSAND WATER METERS IN PADUA AND ABANO

AcegasAPSAmga starts the replacement of over 40 thousand water meters throughout the area of ​​Padua and Abano. In fact, new “smart” meters are arriving in all the areas served by the water service of the Padua multi-utility which will allow remote reading of water consumption. It will no longer be necessary for the customer to communicate the self-reading thanks to the new system, which will also be able to speed up the identification of hidden leaks, thus giving a big hand in the fight against water dispersion.

The replacement of meters has already begun in recent days in Ponte di Brenta, in the eastern area of ​​the industrial area and in Camin, and in the coming months it will also reach Abano Terme and subsequently the Arcella, Guizza and southern areas of the city. In total, 42 thousand meters out of 150 thousand existing ones will be replaced, or approximately 30% of the total: an operation that will be completed by the end of 2025, for a total amount of 33 million euros financed by PNRR funds.

Citizens affected by the replacement of their water meter will be notified by AcegasApsAmga representatives with a paper notice of at least 48 hours, which will indicate the day and time slot scheduled for the intervention, during which accessibility to the water meter must be guaranteed. meter by the customer, in the case of a single user, or by a single tenant in the case of condominiums, for access to the technical compartment.
