Registration for the photo finish! Contrary to what was declared by a manager a few weeks ago, Lucchese waited until the last day, or rather, the last hours at its disposal to submit the application for admission to the next Serie C championship. At 5.26pm yesterday afternoon the Press officer Nico Venturi sent this statement: “Lucchese announces that it has filed today, Tuesday 4 June, the request for registration in the Serie C championship for the 2024-2025 season, complying with both the payment of the membership fee and participatory, and in the deposit of the guarantee”.
So all that ends well is well? Of course yes, but the fact that Lucchese waited until the last day to get in order aroused some amazement and also apprehension among the fans. Within a week all applications for registration to the championship will be examined by Co.Vi.Soc. and only after the exam will it be known exactly which teams were admitted and which were not. Let’s get ready for some sensational surprises. Let’s move on to something else. On some sites that follow the events of Catania football, Antonello Laneri is given the finishing line in Lucca as sports director or simple market consultant to president Bugarella.
The difference between the two roles is obviously not marginal, but is dictated exclusively by the fact that Laneri still has a year left on his contract with the Etna club and that he can only be “free” after he has terminated his contract or has reached an economic agreement at the end of the relationship. The same sites confirm Lucchese’s interest in some Catania players, such as Ladinetti and Peralta, but apparently the two… command very high prices for the category, so it is more likely that the new general manager Faggiano will propose other players to the Rossoneri returning from loans in other Serie C teams and who have salaries in line with those of Lucchese.
