«Here’s how we will use the budget surplus»

«Cso we will use them surplus resources from the last budget, approximately 16,280,000 euros”. Goffredo Lo Muzio provincial councilor, puts pen to paper figures and objectives set by the Via Anfiteatro Authority. «After a listening phase, which is quite rare in previous administrations, with all the provincial councilors who promptly reported the needs of the territories, the president, in discussion with sector managers, has started the bureaucratic process for structural interventions which are of interest to the sector schools in Taranto, Mottola, Grottaglie, Manduria, Crispiano. Interventions for a total of 3,100,000 euros. As regards the fourth sector (Road), investments are planned which will affect the reconstruction of the SP 53, the restructuring of the SP 122 bridge on the coast road in Municipality of Maruggio, reconstruction of SP 12 and SP 14, the reconstruction of the bridge on Sp 35 (Massafra – Chiatona). To all this, by provisions of the President, for an amount of approximately 8,900,000 euros, are added the reports of the provincial councilors which provide for the resurfacing of the road surface of the SP 174 (Manduria-Avetrana), the SP 137 (Manduria- S. Pietro in B.), the SP 122 (Campomarino – S. Pietro in B.), Sp 135 (Uggiano-Sava), the SP111 (Pulsano – Faggiano), Sp 109 (Exit from Pulsano), SP 141 (Maruggio – Avetrana), SP 128 (Lizzano -Torricella), SP 35 (Massafra – Chiatona), SP85 (Palagiano-Lenne Pine), SP 46 (Statte junction SS 172), for a total of 4,330,000 euros. Upon completion of the bureaucratic procedures required by law, as can be seen, the entire provincial territory will be affected – explains Lo Muzio – The President, Rinaldo Melucci, in my opinion he laid the foundations for synergistic and widespread work, giving the right political importance to all the councilors, without exception, which means that beyond political opinions and party differences, the will of our President is to put the interest of our beautiful territory before squabbles and “political games”, which with everyone’s work and contribution, can be brought to completion. Personally, I hope that all my colleagues understand the historical importance of the moment in which we are protagonists throughout the provincial territory, and that this is the moment of great changes in which we can be the protagonists. It is important to understand that the city of Taranto and the entire provincial territory are affected by many resources that most likely will not return for many decades. It is time to embrace a political vision of direction – concludes the provincial councilor – which is structural and which allows us to leave to future generations a city and a provincial territory that is more liveable and perhaps attractive for all those young people (including our children) who had to leave their city and their families””.
