The mayor of Taurianova Roy Biasi received a visit from the Town Hall Salvatore La Rosa, new Police Commissioner of Reggio Calabria. The mayor, together with the entire council, met in the reception room with the highest representative of the State Police, who in recent days is also presenting himself to the municipal administrations of the towns that host a Public Security Police Station.

Police Commissioner La Rosa, accompanied by the Director of the city garrison Raffaele La Bella and the Superintendent Iolanda Laratta, received from the hands of the mayor the medallion of Taurianova Italian Capital of the Book – a terracotta work created by the Ceramist from Seminario Vincenzo Ferraro – demonstrating a strong interest precisely around the prestigious cultural event underway, like the Infiorata event that the Proloco organizes in mid-June, in collaboration with the master inflorators of Noto, the city where the original Commissioner of Messina resides.

The words of the Mayor

“In expressing the institutional closeness of the Municipality to the work of repression of crime, conducted by the Police – comments Mayor Biasi – I would like to underline the traits of that spirit of full collaboration that has always inspired the various cultural activities that have seen men and women in uniform supporting the projects for legality launched by the organisation”. The meeting with the Police Commissioner, which ended with the expression of the most fervent good wishes for the work by Mayor Biasi, was also attended by the president of the municipal council, Raffaele Scarfò, and the general secretary of the institution, Francesco Minniti.
