Crotone – A fight breaks out in the Crotone Police Headquarters between the SIULP and SIAP unions who contest the management of the offices by the commissioner Marco Giambra.

Here is the full statement from SIAP, sent yesterday.
Only two days ago the provincial secretariat of the SIULP of Crotone denounced the legitimate illogical choices made by the Crotone police commissioner Marco Giambra, regarding a sign posted on the door of the Cabinet services office with the words “ENTRY FORBIDDEN TO PEOPLE”. UNAUTHORIZED”, just because it does not accept that the union carries out its role in compliance with the prerogatives dictated by the constitutional provisions.

Yesterday, however, the Commissioner himself “corrected” the aim by having the sign removed after the SIULP’s complaints by affixing a new one bearing: “ENTRY FOR NON-EMPLOYEES PROHIBITED”, yet another distortion which represents the limits towards openness to dialogue with the reference unions of the State Police, since to date, we do not know the people previously authorized and with what criteria with respect to the first cartel and also who the employees are with respect to the new cartel. It is precisely by virtue of these illogical choices, as well as the obstructionism that the Crotone Police Commissioner adopts to override the legitimate requests of the trade unions. Crotone’s SIAP also joins this general discontent that persists within the Pythagorean Police Headquarters.

An employer-like attitude that does not allow us to fulfill all the functions that the union should perform, a continuous continuation of violations, as well as conduct that we will soon forward to the labor judge to verify whether these failures correspond to illegitimate conduct.
Today more than ever, we feel the duty to unite in the dynamics that represent an abuse of trade union rights that do not allow dialogue and civil life within the Crotone Police Headquarters.
SIULP and SIAP declare – “We will take strong and important initiatives to ensure that the rights of the policemen who are represented by these SOs are recognised”.
