The first race saw a pair of drivers who have recently brought prestige to Pistoia motor racing take the lead: Alessandro Ciardi and Daniele Silvestri, tied with 11 points.

The expert Alessandro Ciardi gave a crystal clear performance, which also earned him sixth place overall. Paired with his trusted Tondini on the GR Yaris, the driver from Casalguidi raced in San Marcello Pistoiese, repeating last year’s top-level performance, as well as “training” for the second round of the GR Yaris Rally Cup scheduled for Verona at the end of the month , precisely in conjunction with the “Valdinievole”.

Daniele Silvestri instead took his Peugeot 208 Rally4 to success in the two-wheel drive category, as well as to tenth place overall, with Leonardo Marraccini in the lead. A progressive race, that of the fast rider from Montale, who had started the Montani challenge with a broken water hose, only to see the problem resolved and go on to achieve a solid result.

Paolo Moricci from Montecatina completes the podium with 7 points, with his Renault Clio Rally4, shared with Paolo Garavaldi, thirteenth overall and third among the front-wheel drive.

Among the co-drivers, Leonardo Marraccini is in the lead, alongside Silvestri, in second place is Iacopo Innocenti, who supported Gaddini from Lucca on a Renault Clio S1600, 14th overall, while Paolo Garavaldi is third.

In the RC2N category, therefore the “top car” cars, Davide Giordano took the lead, with the Skoda Fabia R5, with 4 points (and also first in the “over 55”), ahead of Mirko Baldacci (Skoda) with 2 points and third is Federico Gasperetti (1 point), who in “his” race had to throw in the towel from the start due to the gearbox breaking on his Citroen C3 Rally2 which he was driving for the second time.

Luca Fagni took the lead in the RC5N category, making his debut with the Renault Clio Rally5. Fourth in class, the driver from Larciano therefore started his new experience at the wheel of the French Millesei in the best possible way, with 6 points, four more than the trio formed by Antonio Ilari, Giacomo Biondi and Stefano Giannini, all on a Peugeot 106. this category, three co-drivers in the standings, all with 2 points. They are Gianni Melani, who joined Ilari, then Marco Ancillotti (to Biondi’s notes) and Camilla Gaggioli, who read the notes to Giannini.

In the RC6N class, for now there is only one classified, the Monsumman co-pilot Nicola Perrone who sailed, on the Pistoiese Mountain, Mario Giacomelli, fifth in class A0.

Now the spotlight is about to turn on the second round, that of the Valdinievole and Montalbano Rally, organized by Laserprom 015 for 29 and 30 June, based in Larciano.
