New Pescara, casting for the bench continues. But there is a candidate in pole position

These are very important days for the future of Pescara Calcio, which for the first time in the last 50 years will have to play for the fourth consecutive Serie C championship. Among the negotiations for the possible corporate sale, the work to strengthen the management team and the registration for the 2024-25 tournament which expires on Tuesday 4 June (mandatory deadline for submitting documentation and guarantee), there is also a team to build. The first piece for the future Dauphin is inevitably the new coach. Emmanuel Cascione’s adventure on the Biancazzurri bench is already over, the full coach left days ago but there will be unlikely to be any official communications before the 10th of the month. At the moment there is a candidate in pole position and it is a strong choice for C: it is Attilio Tesser, who in his career has won promotion to B at the helm of 4 different teams (Novara, Cremonese, Pordenone and Modena). The first exploratory contacts have already begun, preparatory to a meeting which will see the president Daniele Sebastiani at the forefront. Tesser still has an existing contract with Triestina, but getting rid of him (perhaps with severance pay) doesn’t seem like a problem. The difficulties, however, are other: the perceived high salary, which will have to be trimmed down, and the creation of a competitive team because someone like Tesser certainly wouldn’t accept Pescara, a place that is still welcome because of its reputation, for a squad full of young people who do not have the initial objective of making a top championship. To date, it is the former Triestina player who is in pole position for the white and blue bench, but there are other candidates at stake should something go wrong or a cost-saving project should be launched: they are Chiappella from Giana Erminio and Federico Guidi from Roma Primavera, both suitable for a squad with many young people to be exploited and prospects of being a loose cannon and not one of the favorites to move up in category. Massimo Brambilla from Juventus Next Gen is also very popular
