Yellow weather alert for thunderstorms in Ravenna and surrounding areas

From midnight today, Monday 3 June, to midnight tomorrow, Tuesday 4, weather alert number 77, for thunderstorms, issued by the regional civil protection agency and Arpae Emilia-Romagna, will be active in the municipality of Ravenna. The alert is yellow.

The complete alert can be consulted on the Emilia-Romagna Weather Alert portal and also through X (@AllertaMeteoRER); On the portal there are also many other in-depth materials, including indications on what to do before, during and after weather warnings, in the “Informed and prepared” section.

On Tuesday 4 June, favorable conditions are expected for the development of thunderstorms, even of strong intensity, with possible effects and associated damage, more likely in the Apennine areas and central-western plains during the afternoon hours and waning in the evening. Possible increases in hydrometric levels in smaller watercourses cannot be ruled out.

It is recommended to implement appropriate self-protection measures, including, in this case: pay attention to potentially flooded roads and do not access underpasses if they are flooded; secure objects sensitive to the effects of rain, hail and wind or likely to be damaged.

Please note that the Municipality of Ravenna has equipped itself with the Alert System telephone information service, which can be used to disseminate civil protection and public utility communications to all citizens. Those who have not yet done so are therefore invited to sign up for the service by registering using the form at the link.
