theft in the Circum station of Torre del Greco

During the night, unknown persons entered the Circumvesuviana station of Torre del Greco, in the Neapolitan area, taking away the safe with three thousand euros inside.

Theft, last night, in the Circumvesuviana station of Torre del Greco, in the province of Naples. According to what we learn, unknown assailants broke into the train station and took away the safe, inside which there were around three thousand euros, according to a first estimate. The criminal action carried out by the criminals this night also caused damage to the station ticket office, where the safe, removed by the thieves, was housed.

“Continuing like this is really difficult. We realize that the investments made for the creation of video surveillance systems and patrols with security guards are not enough but the army would be needed to protect the stations and trains” he declared Umberto de Gregorio, president of the Eavthe public transport company that manages, among others, the Circumvesuviana line.

There is no peace, therefore, for the EAV stations, since, last weekend, the Rione Traiano station, which is part of the Circumflegrea line, was vandalized twice within a few hours of each other. In this case, the vandals broke the glass of the access door, as well as damaged the machines used to stamp travel tickets.
