Cagliari, today the autopsy on the body of Fabio Piga: the shadow of cocaine behind the brutal murder

An autopsy will be performed this afternoon on the body of Fabio Piga, the 37-year-old former carabiniere killed with a stab wound to the chest during an argument inside the Donegal pub in via Caprera in Cagliari on the night between Saturday and Sunday. Yari Fa, 19, was arrested for the crime and is in prison in Uta, accused of aggravated voluntary manslaughter. The deputy prosecutor Marco Cocco, who coordinates the investigations of the flying squad, has entrusted the task of the autopsy, which will be carried out in the afternoon at 3pm, to the medical examiner Roberto Demontis.

Also today should be scheduled the validation hearing for Fa, who yesterday made use of the right not to respond after making spontaneous statements and who, during the long interrogation, learned of Piga’s death. From what we learn, Fa and his friends would have gone to the bathroom to consume cocaine after showing a sachet to someone present in the pub, which prompted Piga to intervene in the bathroom to ask the group to leave the room. An intervention not appreciated by Fa, who reacted brutally, first lashing out at Piga and then stabbing him.

It remains to be clarified where the 19-year-old from San Michele, who has a criminal record when he was still a minor, got the knife, owned by the club, or whether he found it in the bathroom and, in this case, it will be necessary to understand why a knife was in the bathroom.
