Sanremo. “My name is Anna Russoand my personal and professional history is a mix of roots and experiences that led me to apply with the Democratic party in support of Fulvio Fellegara Mayor.
My identity is a mosaic of my father’s Campania origins, my mother’s Tuscan traditions and the fifteen years spent in Piedmont during my childhood and adolescence. Sanremo welcomed me with its light, the bright colors of the hills dotted with mimosas, the blue of the sky and the sea and its scents when I was 17 years old. It was love at first sight.
In Sanremo I completed the scientific high school and continued my university studies when the Faculty of Law was established in Imperia. I have been working as a lawyer for 23 years and I built my family here. My life has been profoundly influenced by volunteering, particularly within Catholic Action, both in Vercelli and Sanremo, where I dedicated years to training young people.
Volunteering has always represented a way for me to translate my faith into concrete actions. This commitment then naturally evolved into a political commitment, moving from direct action to alleviate the suffering of others to seeking political solutions to the causes of that suffering. Social justice and equity are the paradigm that guides every choice I make. The Democratic Party is my political home because it embodies fundamental values such as solidarity, inclusion, social justice, legality, freedom and environmental protection. Values that I feel are deeply mine.
I chose to run for these elections because I firmly believe in the political project of Fulvio Fellegara, a person I have known for some time and who I have always admired for his competence, preparation, ability to listen and mediate, and for his honesty. Our collaboration dates back to the days when I was a lawyer for the CGIL Public Service, of which Fulvio was secretary. I appeal to all those who truly wish to change the colors and the air of this city: the only real alternative is Fulvio Fellegara!
If I have the trust of the citizens, I will dedicate my entire being to this commitment: head and heart, intelligence and passion, coherence and loyalty, as I have always done in every area of my life.”
