One of the best-known nightlife venues in Cagliari, the scene of a senseless tragedy. The Donegal and his staff are devastated after witnessing the murder of Fabio Pigawho died at the age of 36 from a stab wound received on what should have been an ordinary Saturday evening.
On its social pages the restaurant chooses not to comment on the incident, but changes the profile pictures with an all-black background as a sign of mourning. And in the comments there are many who sympathize with the managers.
“Guys, these must be non-Mourning evenings. A hug to all the staff of the restaurant” she reads. And again: “Anger and sadness over news like this is not, and will never be enough. A big hug to all of you”; “A big hug to all of you and condolences to the boy’s family.”
But there are also those who argue. “Now we need police patrols to check before and after the evening, not bouncers”; “I spent many wonderful evenings at Donegal… I went back twice recently, the atmosphere was like the worst place in Caracas… condolences to the family, and also to you in Donegal”; “In 24 years something like this has never happened, before entering a public place they must check everyone if they have weapons on them”.
