Tragedy at the Rosignano motorway toll booth due to an accident between cars, one of them hit the toll booth: there are three dead and six seriously injured.
The victims are the two occupants of the car, a German married couple, who crashed at high speed on two vehicles in the queue, overturning and damaging the structure of the toll booth and filling up the shed with a person inside who remained unharmed and one of the occupants of the rear-ended cars, a boy. The car was driven by a 61-year-old German, Robert Friendrich Fendt. Next to him, his wife Cornelia Maria Schubert, 68 years old. Both dead.
A 21-year-old boy from Florence, Marco Acciai, who was in the car stopped at the toll booth, then lost his life. There was a girl with him, driving, who was injured.
Five other people were injured and taken to hospital.
Among them also two little brothers aged 3 and 6. From what we learn from the doctors, the injured are all fine and arrived at the hospital under code green.
The accident occurred shortly after 1pm on Sunday, at the Rosignano Marittimo motorway toll booth. After calls to the 112 call center, the firefighters arrived on site. the ambulances of the Public Assistance of Rosignano, one of which with the doctor on board, of the Public Assistance of Rosignano also with the doctor on board, of the Misericordia of Montenero with the 118 nurse and the Pegaso helicopter.
The stretch of motorway between Rosignano Marittimo and the Rosignano barrier was closed to allow rescuers to intervene.
