TRENT. Just before one o’clock this night there was a general breakdown in theelectricity supply to the South Trento Health Services Centre, caused by an infiltration of water caused by the heavy rains of the last period and, in particular, yesterday, June 1st. The structure which is used as offices and clinics is closed on weekends. The technicians of the Technology and Infrastructure departments are working to restore the electricity supply in view of the reopening of services tomorrow.
The water damaged the electrical substation that powers the structure, leaving the buildings without power. The Center for Health Services, in addition to the outpatient activities, which are closed today, is the headquarters of the Technology Department which has some information systems and the telephone exchange here. As a precaution, vaccines and other thermolabile substances, stored in the refrigerators of the Prevention Department and the Northern District, have been moved to other Apss facilities.
Currently the technicians have already restored the utilities of building C, headquarters of the Technology Department and by late afternoon it is likely that all the other utilities will be reactivated with electricity supplied by the Civil Protection generator which has temporarily replaced the power supply guaranteed by the group Apss generator.
