Letters to Iacchite’: “Lamezia Airport, that plastic tent set up as a rest area is a disgrace”

Dear Director,

I turn to your site to publicly denounce the scandalous situation that passengers departing from the international airport (?) of Lamezia Terme are forced to endure, despite themselves..

Always, at this time of year, I travel for a few days with my wife and kids. Unfortunately, this time, I am forced to point out the serious inconveniences that all of us passengers have suffered due to the plasticized tent set up as a rest area, waiting for boarding. As of now this tensile structure (I think it is defined as such) It is ABSOLUTELY not adequate to accommodate the large number of passengers present inside.

If in recent days, with high but not prohibitive temperatures like in July and August, we passengers parked inside this structure felt a sense of suffocation due to the heat (the system is obviously not adequate) and the too many people present inside, imagine what will happen in the summer period now upon us! So I would like to ask President Occhiuto a question: instead of upgrading the Reggio Calabria airport with international flights, wouldn’t it have been more appropriate to invest in adequate structures in Lamezia, without putting the thousands of tourists who have been using the Lamezia airport at great risk? I await answers which I doubt will be answered.

Kind regards, Alex Swiss
