Clearance of confiscated villa, “Free”: «Excellent signal»

«We learned with great happiness the news of the clearance operations of a confiscated villa, evidently still used illegally by the former owner. A truly beautiful day! This is how the Benevento delegation expressed itself “Free”driven by Michele Martinoregarding the provision.

«A special thanks to the prefect of Benevento, Carlo Torlontano – highlights the association – and applause to all the police forces and to those who made it possible to implement this measure. An action of profound significance on the eve of June 2nd, Republic Dayunderlining with concrete actions that the credibility of the State, in all its expressions, in the fight against the mafia also passes through the confiscation and reuse of assets stolen from organized crime”.

«Libera» recalls that «the confiscated and freed villa will be reused by the Carabinieri which we thank for the expression of interest presented through the State Property Agency, as part of the specific services conference, called by the Agency of Assets confiscated from organized crime. An important signal for a province, such as the Samnite one, where the issue of assets confiscated from organized crime is often perceived more as an administrative, and in some cases even political, nuisance, not as a challenge to be seized and an opportunity to be built together” .

«It is our hope – concludes “Libera” -, and in this we renew our commitment, that all the confiscated assets present in the Sannio can soon be returned to the communities through institutional and social reuse, also trying to build projects and work opportunities. We must all do our part in defending the beautiful Sannita territory from the presence and infiltration of the mafia.”
