Moments of tension the other night inside the emergency room of the Santa Maria Goretti hospital in Latina where a heated discussion between a patient admitted to the department and a nurse quickly degenerated. There would not have been a real attack, but the patient would have pulled the healthcare worker before the police arrived. When things heated up, in fact, a report was made to the single emergency number 112 and a patrol from the Flying Squad intervened in the hospital. Apparently at that moment the alarm had gone away, but the police officers still identified the parties for any possible complaints in the case. In fact, there were no grounds for an official complaint by the Police against the patient.
In any case, the episode underlines the difficulty experienced daily by hospital workers, which goes hand in hand with the sense of lack of satisfaction experienced by patients who find themselves having to deal with long waiting times and a shortage of beds , too much sex linked however to numerous improper accesses, i.e. users with mild pathologies. However, it has nothing to do with the verbal aggression and death threats that two weeks ago resulted in the release of a 35-year-old convicted felon.
