The Municipality of Terni has violated the level playing field. This is essentially the meaning of the resolution of the Communications Regulatory Authority. In the middle is the ’11 months of the politics of doing’ brochure. The changes of the Bandecchi administration’ and the press release entitled ‘2023 financial statement approved. Provisions increase’. Agcom then orders the Municipality to remove the press release from the institutional portal and to publish a message on the website «indicating the non-compliance» of the note in question and of the brochure «with the provisions of the art. 9 of law 22 February 2000, n. 28″.

Par conditions It all started with the reports of the municipal councilor Francesco Filipponi and the provincial coordinator of Fratelli d’Italia, Alberto Rini. The Municipality of Terni has been accused of violating law 28 of 2000 (article 9) which establishes that «from the date of the convocation of the electoral rallies and until the closing of the voting operations it is
all public administrations are prohibited from carrying out communication activities with the exception of those carried out in an impersonal manner and which are indispensable for the effective performance of their functions”. Both the brochure and the press release in question therefore do not satisfy the requirements of indispensability and impersonality, according to Agcom. The act of the Communications Regulatory Authority can be appealed to the Umbria Regional Administrative Court. That may not be all, in fact among the Corecom proceedings there is also the one concerning the press conference of last April 17th.
