Rho: A reunion with the primary school teacher after 50 years

After 50 years, a life lived and a lot of accumulated experience, ten students out of 34, class 1969-1974, of the current San Carlo and San Michele school in via De Amicis in Rho met their primary school teacher, Sister Maria Letizia Gatti.

Three missing comrades were also remembered during the day

From Rho and other cities outside the region, they went to visit her as far as Lecco where she currently resides in the Mary Help of Christians Institute together with other Salesian sisters with whom she continued to teach, educating generations of girls and boys.
«It was a great emotion to meet classmates who hadn’t seen each other for many years. Some of them I actually saw again after 50 years. We kept in touch with others and over time we organized other get-togethers, but this time was special”, he says Franca Trombella, one of the organizers of the reunion. During the day, the three comrades who unfortunately passed away but who certainly would have been happy with the initiative were also remembered.

The teacher remained in everyone’s hearts

The idea, born from the desire to see the very teacher who remained in everyone’s hearts, led them to organize a day with lunch in Lecco. For Sister Maria Letizia, the away class of the company was her second experience as an educator.
To remember the good moments spent, he prepared a poster with photos and touching phrases displayed to remember what we spent together in those years of both professional and interior growth inspired by the educational values of Don Bosco.
“I always think of you” is one of the phrases reported by the teacher, still athletic, energetic and enthusiastic, together with the names of all the children from fifty years earlier.

A nice surprise for everyone present

A nice surprise for everyone present: Carlo Bianchi, Roberta Biassoni, Piera Ceresa, Susanna Giorgi, Stefano Moroni, Clemente Musiari, Emanuele Musazzi, Felice Nichilo, Luca Sbrogiò and Franca Trombella who take the opportunity, in telling their experience to Settegiorni and Prima MIlano Ovest to ask the comrades they haven’t managed to find again, to contact them to organize the next reunion all together.
