Marche, illegal work and irregularities: this is why the owner was reported

In the Marche region an employer was reported for a series of irregularities. These would concern safety in the workplace and the illegal hiring of a worker of Romanian origin. Here are the details on what happened:

According to initial reconstructions of the case, a company in Grottazzolina (Fermo) would have been suspended. In particular, it seems that in addition to the suspension of the activity, a monetary fine of over 30 thousand euros was also imposed. It all started with the discovery of a worker who worked illegally, with mechanical materials. In addition to this, it seems that the police have detected irregularities regarding basic safety regulations.

According to initial reconstructions, the military team from the Fermo command carried out an inspection at the company. Together with the Carabinieri of the Labor Inspectorate office of Ascoli Piceno, they would have inspected this company. The company would be interested in the wholesale trade of machinery materials. The inspection revealed the omission of the risk assessment and the omission of drafting the attached document. Another reason would be the imminent danger of electrocution for the workers and the inadequacy of fire prevention devices. In addition to this, the owner would also have been sanctioned for having kept a man of Romanian origins working for him illegally.

According to what was found, a series of measures would therefore have been taken on the basis of this inspection. In particular, they would concern suspending illegal work and stopping violations of workplace safety. For not having complied with the rules, it seems that the company owner will have to pay fines as a result. These would be around 20 thousand euros for workplace safety and around 10 thousand euros for administrative sanctions.
