Green light from the Mef (Ministry of Economy and Finance) for the free delivery of the former Paolini barracks to the Municipality. The transfer from the state property to the municipal administration concerns the former command building, the part of the building of approximately 4 thousand m2 which overlooks Viale Gramsci, and the internal courtyard, where military exercises once took place and which, for over 20 years , is used as a public, unpaid car park. The operation was anticipated a few days ago by the Heritage Councilor Sara Cucchiarini, but now it has been made official by the Undersecretary of Economy and Finance Lucia Albano (Brothers of Italy). “After 24 years – he comments – the Paolini barracks is back in the possession of the community, thanks to a government regulatory instrument. This operation is part of the plan for the recovery and valorisation of public properties implemented by the Meloni government and entrusted to the control room hinged to the Ministry of ‘Economy and Finance and chaired by me”. “The redevelopment of the property – the ministry announced – in addition to constituting an exceptional opportunity for urban regeneration of the state-owned complex, will allow us to start the development of initiatives and real estate investments on the rest of the complex, for which discussions are underway with the Region Marche and the Carabinieri, aimed at starting a process of valorization of the entire site”. “A procedure opened for years by this administration – underlines councilor Cucchiarini – which succeeds where no one had succeeded in over twenty years. It is a result of enormous importance”.
