Parties

– Everything is ready for the 2024 Palio delle Contrade Alvignanesi. The event, scheduled for Sunday 26 May with an appointment in Piazza Notarpaoli at 5.30 pm, is organized by the Municipality of Alvignano in collaboration with the associations of the town in the upper Caserta area.

– The 19th edition of “Capua the place of Language” is underway, the literary festival directed by Giuseppe Bellone which since 2005 has celebrated the languages ​​of contemporary culture in the most evocative places of Capua, the city of the Placito Capuano, the first document written in the vernacular dated 960 A.D. On Saturday 25 May at 6.30 pm at the Campania Museum there will be the journalist Sigfrido Ranucci who will be awarded the Placito Capuano 2024 Prize. From 6 pm and until 9 pm the covered courtyard and the Sala delle Madri of the Campania Museum will welcome visitors with a special event: “From the Matres Matutae to the Roman Matrons: History of wine in the Ager Falernus”.

Music

– The Mozart Spring at the Royal Palace of Caserta returns on Saturday 25 May at 5.30 pm with the concert of the Caserta Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Antonino Cascio and with the participation of the oboist Hyun Jung Song, who established himself in 2023 at the International Oboe Competition of Tokyo and “in residence” at the Berlin Philharmonic Academy. Furthermore, on Friday 24 May in Aversa at the Church of S. Antonio we will perform with the Hyun Jung Song recital and on Sunday 26 May at 10.45 am in Capua at the Church of S.
