The final of the Green Game 2024

The class 2nd A of the IIS “Bernalda Ferrandina” of Ferrandina (MT) was crowned Italian Champion of the Green Game 2024, a well-deserved recognition for their exceptional commitment and impeccable preparation. In second place were the students of 2nd year of the “Giandomenico Cassini” state high school in Sanremo (IM)while the bronze was won by 2^B of the IIS “G. Peano” of Marsico Nuovo (PZ).

This tangible result highlights the crucial importance of environmental education and responsible recycling. Participants demonstrated an in-depth understanding of waste separation and recycling practices, as well as a solid commitment to environmental sustainability. The Green Game it offered them the opportunity to put their skills into practice, encouraging creativity and promoting a conscious approach to using resources.

The Green Game confirms itself as an illuminating beacon for Italian schools, involving well this year 48,000 students in an initiative that promotes the training of aware and responsible citizens, ready to face future environmental challenges. The involvement of National Consortia and teachers played a fundamental role in the success of this competition, highlighting how environmental education can be fun, engaging and effective at the same time.

During the event, on stage, the official Green Game trainers, Alvin Crescini and Stefano Leva, together with the representatives of the Consortia – Gennaro Galdo for Cial, Claudia Rossi for Comieco, Chiara Caporizzo And Andrea Campelli for Corepla, Elena Ferrari for Coreve e Roccandrea Iascone for Ricrea – they supported, cheered and encouraged the kids, thus contributing to making the experience even more meaningful and educational.

“The enthusiasm of the kids was truly engaging and at times exciting – declared the representatives of the National Consortia – In recent years, the Green Game has proven to be much more than an educational project: it is an educational opportunity for schools and young students throughout Italy. Its mission is to promote greater environmental awareness, educating future citizens on the importance of correct waste management and recycling. Thousands of students, teachers and families were involved, transforming the way environmental education is perceived.”

Massimiliano Conti who expressed his thanks to the schools from all over Italy who participated in the National Final. His appreciation for the commitment and dedication of young people towards environmental sustainability underlines the importance that institutions attribute to initiatives such as the Green Game, which encourage the training of citizens who are aware and active in the environmental sector.

The schools on the podium will be rewarded with purchase vouchers for teaching materials or equipment worth €750.00 for the 1st place, €500.00 for the 2nd and €250.00 for the 3rd.

Green Game enjoys the patronage of Presidency of the Council of Ministers and of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security.
