MODENA. It also comes to Modena Brunch Republicthe first venue entirely Made in Italydedicated to the most Anglo-Saxon of culinary traditions: the brunch.

The inauguration of Brunch Republic, which for the occasion will offer all guests free tastings (subject to reservation) of its specialties, will be held on Saturday 25 May starting from 10.30 am Largo Porta Bologna 29right in the historic center of Modena.

Founded by Marco Paniin partnership with Matthew HuBrunch Republic represents a new way of understanding breakfast which, as the name itself suggests, is inspired by the Anglo-Saxon one, but also a new way of having a lunch break or dinner with friends.

The first venue in Venice in 2016

The idea of ​​importing breakfast into Italy, the land of “croissant and cappuccino”. Made in the UK it is from Marco who, returning from a stay in London, opened the first restaurant in 2016 Venicea few steps from Ferretto square. From here, given the success that Brunch Republic has achieved, a project to create a real brand and a chain of direct and franchised venues begins.

The second store is opened in the university area of Treviso, a few months before the pandemic outbreak. Despite the difficulties caused by the various lockdowns and the consequent limitations, Marco Pani’s idea proved to be successful and developed in 2023 when the first flagship store in Padua with 140 seats, a new venue in Vicenza and the first franchise to Florence which was followed last March by Riccione and today that of Modena.

What attracts customers, in addition to the young and relaxed atmosphere, is the variety of proposals suitable not only for brunch, but for any moment of the day: from Pancake to avocado toast to dishes based on egg typical of the Anglo-Saxon tradition such as those at Benedict or those with the bacon.

«Our strong point – continues Pani – is to have identified a market segment within the catering industry in which there is space for new proposals that are positioned as an alternative to classic formats such as pizzerias, traditional restaurants, take aways and ethnic cuisine. Brunch Republic venues open at 8 in the morning and close late at night and have perfect options for any meal time, covering the needs of vegans and vegetarians.”
