PISA – Two innovative biomedical projectsdeveloped respectively in Viterbo and Bari, have obtained significant recognition. The first, created by 3Trees startup, aims to improve the lives of cancer patients and the elderly by preventing muscle weakness. Founded by oncologist Fotios Loupakis and the geriatrician Giuseppe Pasqualetti, 3Trees has created a supplement called Thitavita which intervenes on the hormonal structure to prevent physical decay. Murri” of the Aldo Moro University of Bari and with the Policlinico Consortium University Hospital of Bari. This system, presented by the software engineer Sergio Giovanni Santoro, it is much more sensitive than human diagnosis, managing to identify steatosis with the same precision as MRI.

The two start-ups were selected as winners of the Start Pitch callwhich saw the participation of thirty-two candidates. The announcementdedicated to research groups and start-ups established less than a year ago, gathered eleven finalists. The 3Trees and Unicorn projects were rewarded with services worth a total of twelve thousand euros provided by Start Attractor of the University of Pisaan initiative to support young companies and open innovation projects.
