He was dealing in Viale della Vittoria. His office was the bench. In the late afternoon of yesterday 22 May, the policemen of the Flying Squad of Ancona arrested a 29-year-old Tunisian, found in possession of 40 grams of cocaine, part of which divided into doses, as well as the sum of 7 thousand euros, a balance of precision and other material for packaging doses. The arrest was the culmination of an investigative activity conducted by the men of the Anti-Drug Section of the Doric Flying Squad.

The preventive information activity of the investigators, in fact, had brought to light the presence along the Viale della Vittoria of a Maghrebi man used to dealing narcotics to young “customers” from Ancona who were waiting for him sitting on a bench on the avenue. Suspicions regarding the arrested person reached their peak, after various observation and shadowing services, with a first personal and then local search, carried out late yesterday afternoon (22 May 2024), in the foreigner’s home.

The blitz

At the time of the raid, the investigators blocked the foreigner along Viale della Vittoria, who, with a sudden sprint and pushing the operators, was trying to escape and get rid of three doses of cocaine in heat-sealed cellophane that he had in his trouser pockets. , throwing them on the ground. The operators managed with difficulty to immobilize the man even with the help of the Flying Squad personnel who promptly intervened to help, and to recover the three doses of narcotic thrown away.

The house search

The subsequent local search carried out inside the nearby house revealed, inside the bedroom wardrobe, hidden inside a sock, 21 heat-sealed transparent cellophane wrappers – ready for dealing – containing cocaine for a total of over 16 grams and a larger fragment of cocaine, always wrapped in cellophane, containing more than 22 grams of pure cocaine. In another drawer of the wardrobe an electronic scale, some scissors and other material used for packaging doses of the narcotic were found. The continuation of the search activity made it possible to find, again in the bedroom wardrobe and hidden in another sock, the total sum in cash of various denominations equal to almost 7 thousand euros, believed to be the proceeds of the cocaine dealing activity and therefore seized by officers together with cocaine. The unequivocal evidence triggered the arrest in flagrante delicto against the man who, on the orders of the Deputy Public Prosecutor on duty, was restricted to the regime of house arrest at his home in this city center at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, awaiting the validation hearing.
